Set across 22 acres in Punjab, The Long Field House brings together multigenerational living, productive landscape and sport. Approximately half the estate is given to floriculture and organic cultivation, while almost a quarter accommodates a full-size cricket ground. The field is treated not as an isolated amenity but as a shared social ground towards which the house and landscape are oriented. On Sundays, family, friends and cricket enthusiasts gather here, allowing a private residence to acquire a wider communal life. At the centre of the project is a simple proposition: sport can become placemaking.
